    Section 338 of the Tariff Act of 1930 (19 U.S.C. 1338) (section 338) empowers the President to, among other things, impose duties on imports of a foreign country to offset the burden or disadvantage from a foreign country’s discrimination against or unequal imposition on the commerce of the United States. Canada, through discrimination against or an unreasonable and unequal imposition on U.S. auto and auto parts exports, burdens U.S. commerce but not the commerce of other countries and disadvantages U.S. commerce compared to the commerce of other countries. Lincoln had the Emancipation Proclamation, Trump has "Blame Canada".


The market handled tariffs (and inflation fears). The market handled the war (and inflation fears). The market might be able to handle a slight slowdown in AI expected returns.

....But, can the markets handle all 3 at once?


This much is true though: if tech doesn't save the administration yet again, the news from the White House will be "the Democrats tanked the market!".

The man has a tendency to create problems so as to give "relief valves" when shifting/reversing his position. Hopefully, this is another example.

So I'm getting that Trump is to get control the western hemisphere while Putin gets all of Europe (with Trump's help). And since Trump is Putin's minion, it's Putin who really gets control of the western hemisphere. He's likely looking to use AI to defeat China in the future. For Trump to succeed at his task, he will need to turn the US into a dictatorship, which he appears to be doing
