I live in Germany and the AFD are NOT far-right!!!! They are for the German Culture and Religion,and against illegal immigration...

Le Pen and Meloni deciding the ADF was "too far-right" was a bit of a clue.

I do agree with you that there’s elements/ factions within the group that are extreme , similar to the National Front of old in the UK ( now morphed into Reform ) . Predominantly , groups/ parties like this will always step into the fold when public discontent shows itself and politicians fail to act . Merkel who was/ has been the best politician of her generation , sadly left a legacy of the open door policy for immigration which was exploited in vast numbers .

"groups/ parties like this will always step into the fold" In Australia we have One Nation. They have existed for years but recently have become quite popular for reasons.

They are very extreme in their collective toxic message.

I remember studying economics and geopolitics in the 1980s. 3 things were very well understood at the time.

1 - Climate change would lead to mass migration. 2 - western interventions in middle east and africa would lead to mass migration. 3 - the only (humane) way to deal with mass migration was collectively.

Baby boomers and genx have proven to be a bit sh1t on these 3 issues.
