Exactly , the propaganda machine is hard at work on both sides .

Iran doesn’t have many options , closure of SOH is their leverage compounded with the element of time .

It’s also far easier for the US to seek a diplomatic solution rather than the military option .

Iran has limited resources and like you said the straits or controlling the waterways happens to be their best defense at this point.

America would definitely like the diplomatic solution but time isn't on their side. Energy shocks are here, we have the world cup, and as we enter Summer that would be another traveling season where elevated fuel cost from both planes/cars remain elevated.

This has been an interesting round of stalemate but something has to give.......
