    Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they had carried out attacks against a U.S. base in Jordan and 21 other targets in the Gulf on Wednesday in retaliation for American strikes around ​the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian media reported. The clashes mark one of the biggest exchanges in hostilities since the two countries agreed to a ceasefire in April. Let's see what the orange baffoon comes out with this time, 'nearly have an agreement', 'very close', 'total victory'. Trump has no control here. He desperately wants out of Iran. Inflation is hammering the US. Inflation goes up so do interest rates making it more expensive for companies to borrow and service existing debt. What happens to stocks then? What happens when BoJ raises its interest rates due to USD strength due to inflation? The carry trade unwind. What happens during a carry trade unwind? US stocks and assets previously bought with 'cheap yen' gets sold to pay back the higher jpy interest. Sell off of stocks. Crash. Well done Trump.

I agree with your statement except ‘ interest rates’ being raised .
