Yeah - called it earlier. Missile strike, but CENTCOM will no doubt come out later with their statement of "nothing was damaged, missiles were intercepted", etc, etc. If that is what it takes for both sides to save face, then so be it.

1) Price action should tell you pretty clearly that this wasn't a "red" news event (nothing impactful happened across asset classes).

2) It was pre-announced. The target wasn't, but it's pretty easy to hypothesize based on the prior dialog. IRGC said it was going to retaliate before the US even conducted the "self-defense" strikes. All of this was part of the original 'equation': "We need to act tough, now you act tough, but no one gets hurt because we will shoot down your missiles. We get to say we are superior because you couldn't even hit our base. You get to tell your people you destroyed all of our F35s because you don't allow them access to truthful content anyway. Everybody wins."
