According to preliminary figures from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), real (price-adjusted) new orders in the manufacturing sector fell by 3.8% in April 2026 compared to March 2026, after seasonal and calendar adjustment. Excluding large orders, new orders were also 3.8% lower than in the previous month.
