Because I scalp /nq futures. So 135 pts is $2700/contract. Multiple that by a couple dozen contracts that's a hefty sum in 60 seconds.

What I don't understand is why you seem to discount the moves in the US stock market (especially those of size and high velocity). Even if trading forex exclusively (or some other instrument(s)), the information present in one area of the "market" is useful to understand broader implications.

Yes, markets of late (especially US equity indices) have a high tendency to be negatively autocorrelated. What you describe be a classic example of it.

There’s a reason for it… and it’s not a healthy one. It’s a structure that can only be maintained with unsustainably strong information gradients.
