The market had 386 minutes from overnight highs to morning lows. Less than 1% in the /nq on all the additional war news. The reversal off those lows took 1 hour. That's the window with which we have to capture shorts these days on the greatest uncertainty about war escalation since the start of the ceasefire. Wild stuff.

Hard to see a top forming with DRAM up 6.5%, SMH up 1.3%, IGV up off the mat and adding 5.5%, and NVDA catching a bid on the processor news and up more than 4%.

It's a ridiculous narrative, but one that keeps getting bought....and will be (it seems) until it isn't. If oil jumping 7% can't pause the buying maybe /cl staying elevated for a few days will be enough?

Doubtful. Afterall, there's a $1.6T market cap company IPOing in 11 days that posted a stellar Q1 net revenue of $-1.6B. What does it matter that SpaceX will IPO at 90+x earnings? Right? Because some analyst said MU is going to be a $2T company after earnings and everything else is just being pulled along for the ride.

"hey everyone, look, the /nq is down nearly 1 whole percent off overnight highs....quick....buy, buy, buy!" Zero positive war news until 2 hours after the market opens and this Hezbollah "news" is posted, but the down move in equities was already all but erased with indices at/near US cash hour highs before the news even hit.

US military bases got toasted with over 5500 missiles. US lost 42 airplanes, and most of its advanced radar systems in the area. All aircraft carriers fled far away to the Indian ocean.
US does not have much fighting power in the area to project on Iran. This is why they cannot even open the Straight of Hormuz, and have been begging other nations to intervene and help them.
