President Donald Trump will host a swearing-in ceremony for incoming Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh at the White House on Friday, a White House official said. This is the first time a Fed chair has been sworn in at the White House since Alan Greenspan in 1987. The ceremony at the White House comes as Trump's goal of markedly lower interest rates seems to be slipping away. No. He will not be able to convince 11 others to vote to lower rates. In fact if he tries, he will lose their respect and trust, then they will view him as Trump's puppet forever. He better not try that now!

They shouldn't be even thinking about rate cuts, but rather hike before it's too late. They should hike to at least 6% - 7% as of now. Prices will continue to rise. CPI numbers are bad, but PPI numbers are horrible. There is not a single reason for why the Fed should even think about rate cuts.

If Warsh doesn't signal rate hikes are on the way there could be hell to pay in the debt market. Inflation is out of control.

To add: there is literally no chance that the Fed will hike rates, and if they do it'll not be anything meaningful.
