I'm starting to simply think the war deal was made weeks ago. Everything since then, and coming, is posturing by both sides to "look tough" while an agreement has long since been in place. How else can the move in equities in the face of +100 /cl and public threat of re-engagement be justified? /nq is 23% off ceasefire lows. That's insane. But, I'm just bitter having tried to short this thing after a "first time in history" April move. No....such....luck.....

The pullback is coming, but 5% down after going up another 10% isn't going to matter much.

Iran has no cards left to play, they cannot enforce anything and are combat ineffective... they have twitter and that is it. Time to move on and treat them like Somali pirates.

Watch out, the reaction could be US bombing

At this point, it is quite clear that either:

A) The markets don't care at all about the war and/or potential inflationary impacts
B) There is going to be a MASSIVE rug pull as equities are in a delusional state of FOMO
C) Something else entirely

...I, for one, cannot believe there is so much apathy in t he pricing. I would have to dig into the inflation numbers we've been given, but just looking at the cost of energy, one would THINK inflation is either up already or is heading our way. There's no anticipation of rate cuts until 2027. There's no clear "end" of the war impacts/opening of the Strait.

Earnings, however, have been stellar (somehow) and prices continue to soar. I just don't see how this is sustainable, so the longer it continues, the more and more I fear B in the scenarios above. I would very much like to see a 5% pullback to get everything back into line so that an orderly rally can continue without further overextension.....but it seems like I am the only one when the /nq is up 1.4% as missiles fly and memory stocks are adding 12% to already ridiculous values.
