1.4% dip in /ES on Iran attacking the UAE again and hitting a South Korean vessel? That's all we get after the MONSTER run up? Sheesh.

He did a good job of selling "we are winning," and you can see that in the market movement. However, practically, what has changed? 2 ships a day, or even 20 ships a day, doesn't open the Straits.

Perhaps this will become a flood of ships, but it seems unlikely. Iran just has to blow up a ship or two for every dozen that get through, and the Strait will stay shut indefinitely, as insurance will not tolerate this level of risk. Iran got its 2 ship quota yesterday.

If they open it it benefits Iran, the blockage and Insurers avoiding the Strait causes Iran 500 million a day. Because they can't sell anything (it's the only sea route Iran has)
