The US left Afghanistan because they wanted to leave. If they wanted to stay they'd stay and nothing anybody can do about it. If you get yor country bombed to bits and your economy destroyed, you lost. Simple! It's in the olden days that people send troops to do whatever.

Number one: the leaders of Iran were wiped out and still being targeted.
Number two: that regime will be gone completely. Just a matter of time.
Number three: All this was done by a force protected from thousands of miles away (the US).
Number four: Nothing Iran can do about it.

To me, Iran overplayed their hand. See China, those guys built themselves to an economic superpower and in today's terms, that's the real power. Instead of sponsoring terrorists around the world they should have made Iran into an indispensable economic superpower and every other thing they desired would flow to them. But no, they got it backwards.

Well, time will tell.

After 20 years in Afghanistan don't you think it was time to give up? Obviously no progress was made and nothing was accomplished because as soon as the US left, it went right back to how it was before.

If the goal is to stop Iran from enriching uranium and to change the regime, then how is blowing stuff up while failing to accomplish either goal a win? Why do you think it will go any differently than Afghanistan?

The world is starting to tell the US to piss off.

I wish it was that easy to tell the US to pass off. Like I said, Iran will not get nuclear bomb abilities. Secondly, their facilities for such and scientists who facilitated it have all been destroyed. Thirdly, the nuclear dust buried under ground will be taken by the US. It's just a matter of time.

The real reason for the stall is Trump trying to appease the US political mob class. When he is fed up the fires will be blazing in old Persia.

Hear me, you cannot tell a war-drilled, world-ruling empire to piss off. They'd rather burn the entire thing to the ground than lose that influence. You think I support the US? No! I am simply a realistic person. I know how empires work. If you cannot defeat them militarily, then forget it.

Uranium enrichment knowledge isn't confined to a few people. The knowledge is everywhere, but the hard part is doing it, so I doubt taking out a few people changed that picture any.

Honestly, I don't think the US has won a war since the civil war. Ok, maybe the Gulf War but that was 42 country coalition that ended so fast that it could be mistaken for more of a military operation than a war. And the Spanish-American War if you want to quibble over a few years. But every other war the US either lost or didn't win.

A core message of Hitler's campaign was the idea that Germany did not lose WW1; the politicians had simply given up. And Russia won WW2 on both fronts (Germany and Japan). Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, etc and now Iran the US did not accomplish anything.

Boy are you delusional. After all this you think Trump will have troops on the ground on Iran to search for the nuclear program? They can't even get close to the strait with fear of a couple drones. Their military bases in the region are all basically destroyed.
