I think what he learned long ago (or at least believes) is that if you keep your "opponent" (in this case, the rest of the world, not just Iran) in a constant state of confusion, you can accomplish a lot more.

If "they" believe you might or might not do something then they can't really plan a reaction ahead of time with any conviction.

Kind of like: If I were to show you 1000 future events, but wove them into and around one another, when the events unfolded, you would constantly be second guessing yourself: "will it happen like scenario 5, 28, 475, or 928??" As more data arrives, your ability to proceed is clearer....but if you keep getting glimpses of additional future events during the decision making process, you can never fully plan.

How to combat this? Be strong enough to push the US off its game and completely turn the tables by taking the lead.

...the only problem is that there's no one country out there that cand (or is willing) to do so.....so Trump will keep "winning".

Occam's razor would suggest as much. Having known many folks with dementia, I really HOPE not (don't want that for anyone), but I wouldn't hesitate to say it is hubris. Being from the US, I just hope Icarus doesn't fly too close to the sun before his term ends.

Here's one I'll give Trump: These markets are CRANKING and 'no one's ever seen anything like it'. Of course, I have chosen this one time to say "I'm not going to get caught ultra long at the top" so have gone so far as to get short deltas...................but I can't say that I have massive surprise at all Trump has done and the resiliency of equities. It's troublesome.

Year end....10% higher than here. Next 8 days? It damn well better slow down to let the MA's catch up or we're headed for a MASSIVE correction in the span of 1-3 days (yes, "massive" in this market's terms = 4-8% )


******FWIW: IF...."YUGE" if at this point....there a shooting star candle is created today, you are going to hear all bearish personalities screaming about a top on 5/1 and an imminent correction. Personally, I'm looking for the /nq afternoon H&S pattern to complete and get me out of some of these shorts as who the hell knows what the weekend will hold.

VC: There's an Amazon special on Bourbon (and another on Scotch I think, still have to watch that)....best enjoyed while sipping out of a highball

Hubris is a purely chinese character made out of two concepts meaning insolent and slow. Insolent means impudent which is also a pure chinese characteristic, but also may refer to impertinent, which refers to manners, which is a culture issue. Maybe is the same as repeated many times. China and USA are different cultures. Obviously despite all the time run, the observations long at your disposal, as many times proven and clear to see everyday, regret to notice you have not got a single thing. I would recommend to check our facts first and then come to conclusions. As per slowliness...think who's taking so many years of observations to reach false conclusions. But I guess after so many mistakes and false conclusions, the only resort at your disposal is the one that exculpates you from your mistakes and charge the other party. Remember who's right here as per China's boss (the real one).
