The number of employed people decreased by 170,300 compared to the previous quarter, reaching 22,293,000. In seasonally adjusted terms, the quarterly change was 0.43%. Employment grew by 527,600 people over the last 12 months. Unemployment rose by 231,500 people, to 2,708,600. In seasonally adjusted terms, it fell by 0.40%. Over the last 12 months, it decreased by 80,600 people. The unemployment rate was 10.83% this quarter, 0.90 percentage points higher than in the previous quarter.
