The president, the first lady, the vice president, cabinet members, and more than 2,500 guests were gathered to celebrate the First Amendment and freedom of the press. But after shots were fired, the president was evacuated. It was at the same hotel where President Ronald Reagan was nearly assassinated by John Hinckley, 45 years ago. I love how every time some lefty loon tries to kill trump, a bunch of people who have never held a firearm in their life (most cant even buy one in their shithole country), claim that it was staged. Unclear how previous experience holding a firearm has any connection at all with the ability to recognize a staged attack. I have squeezed enough triggers to know any fool can do it. I have seen enough of Trump's theatrical bullshit to know that staging an attack is absolutely something he would do. I also know that nobody gets past his security and close enough to be a threat without help. The lone gunman story does not track.

Funny how convenient they are - during his campaign as propaganda, and now during his ongoing massive fuckup as Netanyahu's sidekick in Iran, when he's desperate for sympathy and distraction because his approval ratings are spiraling down the shitter.

assassination has become political statement these days. to draw comparison with roman republic politics we are now in the times of gracchi brothers. rabble rousing, populism met with violence. after rome defeated carthage (soviet) it became a sole superpower. it's always lonely at the top, so they turned against each other. it took 50 years for rome to descend into civil wars and proscriptions, until 50 years later an emperor emerged from the chaos.
