3 days after that article, the protest spread all over the country and then the regime gunned down 30000+ protesters. I guess $7 was definitely not enough to ease people's anger or their economic problems. The regime found it easier just to deliver death instead.
A bullet costs less than $7 and then they can charge the families of the dead $10,000 per protester's body.

He is trying to sound tough because he apologised at one point for hitting GCC countries and the Mullahs and IRGC got on his case and called him a traitor etc. Now that the coast is somewhat clear, he too is tough guy. lol
