Pakistan awaits Iran’s formal confirmation for Islamabad peace talks: information minister
Pakistan is still awaiting Iran’s formal confirmation regarding its delegation for the Islamabad peace talks, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said on Tuesday, as diplomatic efforts continue to preserve the ceasefire and move the process forward. Tarar said Pakistan, as a mediator, remains in constant contact with the Iranian side and is pursuing dialogue and diplomacy. He said Iran’s decision to participate in the talks before the two-week ceasefire ends at 4:50 a.m. PST on April 22 is of critical importance.
