All for what? An 80year old buffoons whim. No strategy whatsoever except gaming the markets and bringing pain and suffering to many. Destabilising the world, giving Russia a lifeline when they were really starting to buckle, creating fuel and fertiliser shortages ( amongst others ) with the inevitable drop in food production.
I hope the midterms set up the groundwork for impeachment

The all war is a waste of time if Russia and China indeed help Iran in the War indeed are going to help it rebuild and rebuild fast coz it has proved it's not the kind of Venezuela that Can just turn like coins so Trump has just wasted US expensive weapons And Russia has tested it by Sending an oil take to Cuba with out America's permission since Trump has wasted to much on Iran he couldn't risk blocking tht tank hence opening up another war
The one win i can give to the US if they manage to get a regime change but if tht falls Israel should be prepared for a Coldwar the moment this one ends and more attacks from Iran backed groups

Pretty sure you're right about rebuilding. We can assume Iran will be selling oil at levels before Trump's sanctions, and rebuilding infrastructure will improve the economy.

I don't think we've seen a regime change, just passing the baton to a younger generation. This could be disastrous for the general population, or maybe we see a less fundamentalist regime needing popular support to rebuild.

An Iran/Isreal coldwar does seem likely if Iran builds nukes. If they don't, and stay a short dash below the threshold, then maybe a more open working relationship (divide and control the ME).

The mullas are nearly destroyed in a matter of a month.
No other force has inflicted so much harm on these terrorists in their 47 years of their unleashing misery on the world and on its own people. Look at the GCC countries. Each of them reporting how many hundreds of billions they have lost because of this war. That is the price of standing by and letting this cancer grow. Euro, being lucky due to their geographical distance and NATO protection, hasn't received physical harm yet but standing by, just like the GCC, will eventually catch up to them too. Then you will have to answer to your kids and your grand kids why you were ridiculing the ones who did something about it.

It's very hard to tell what, if any, objectives have been achieved. It appears that a lot of infrastructure has been bombed, and some of the 'old-guard' have been killed. Now the 'new-guard' are in place, and they appear much like the old. So regime change = probably not. Uranium capture/depletion probably involves putting boots on the ground, so as you say 'not really'.

However, what I think we have seen is that Iran has a strategy and tactics that work against a technically superior adversary.

If the regime wants to exist under those conditions they may.
In fact I think he is transferring the deed to the GCC countries. That way, they will be buying weapons and intelligence from US and at every flareup, if the oil price goes up, US as the largest exporter of oil in the world, stands to benefit financially.
Oh, and Europe will have to get its own oil and start their own NATO to defend itself against Russia. Good luck.
