US construction spending down 0.3% in January
Construction spending in the United States came in at $2,190 billion in January this year, dropping by 0.3% compared to the December 2025 revised figure, the US Census Bureau said in its report on Monday. Private construction spending was $1,661 billion, 0.6% lower compared to the previous month's revised estimate. Public construction spending stood at $529,2 billion, increasing 0.6% from December last year.
