Really? We are moving THIS much on an IRGC comment? Geez.

IRGC says "us army didn't escort the ship" 1 - the army wouldn't do it (maybe semantics)? 2 - it doesn't mean a ship didn't go through at all. 3 - that was a 160 pt drop in /nq on an IRGC tweet....crazy.



...perhaps tweets/stories about mines in the strait are the real story here?

The 1-min chart shows the rally on the sec tweet, then the small fall off on the removal....which was bought up a bit for 15 minutes....then this IRGC tweet accompanied by an immediate drawdown in equities (which was probably MOST impacted by the concerns over mining in the CBS article, if we're being honest....the two just coincided with one another).

Whatever the case, it was a very unwelcomed string of headlines.

it suggests that iran is paying close attention to the Strait of Hormuz and that the standstill is far from over

To me it looks like institutions are going after aggressive trailing stops before reversing to take out Thursday's PDH. Let's see what happens. If I'm correct, the reverse should happen right about now.
