‘Significant amount’ of gold and silver bullion taken in Auckland heist
Police said the burglary took place in the suburb sometime between January 14 and January 27. Police Waitematā west tactical crime unit Detective Shaun Galbraith said a large quantity of silver bullion, including 1kg silver bars, have been taken. Each of the bars were imprinted with a "MW" (Morris & Watson) inscription, he said. "A number of 1oz gold Kiwi coins were also stolen from the property." Galbraith said the combined value of the items was "significant". "We are determined to locate those responsible and hold them to account but we need the public's help."
