I used to wonder about this as well. I do feel there will be volatility with him in office, but I am not as worried about longer-term repercussions. Why you ask? For one, have you seen his photos? He looks like he has aged a lot. There's little to no shot that he attempts a 3rd term (even though that is not currently allowed in this country). This means there is a finite amount of time for his antics.

Second, I honestly believe (IF they can get their act together) that the democrats will likely win some additional seats in the mid terms and put a stalemated government in place. Not that this particular president really cares about congressional approval for anything, BUT, a democratic congress should offer a little more resistance than the present situation. This is the reason I suspect the administration is trying to ram so many things home at once. If they lose seats this year, it's game over.

I suspect global leaders are looking at the situation with the same attitude: drag feet until this 'round' is over. Yeah, it will be a weird few years....but, fortunately, there's only so far leaders of this country can go before they are impeached/resign in disgrace. The latter won't be happening with Trump (for obvious reasons), and the former may not even be enough to oust him from office...but he is term limited. Now the democrats just need to get a contender queued up for 2028.

Trump's favorability is dipping into the low 40%s presently. If it falls into the 30s (or even high 20s), you can bet there's going to be national outrage when statements like "Greenland at all costs" are made.

Trump has already said that even if it was possible he would not seek a third term.

1. The 22nd Amendment would have to be repealed or changed

This is the only clean, legal path.

That requires a constitutional amendment, which means either:

Two-thirds of both the House and Senate propose it, or

Two-thirds of state legislatures call a constitutional convention

And then:

Three-fourths of the states (38 of 50) must ratify

This is extremely difficult and has never been done for an amendment expanding presidential power.

The world has been taking advantage of the US for 50 years plus. We rebuilt Europe after WW2 and they cry because we want them to foot more support for NATO. All this negative chatter about Tump is only an indication of trading losses and blaming it on Trump.

Rubio or Vance will most likely be the next President. There are only 11 States that defy Federal laws on immigration. Their fake news keeps everything in turmoil. Tump won the popular vote and the Electoral-vote. We don't want illegals in our country and we are tired of supporting the world with woke ideologies.
