Yes ma'am. Going far left like USSR, China and North Korea eventually ends up in some kind of authoritarianism, dictatorship which goes against the spirit of leftism in the first place.

I think the idea of anarchy comes into play when you go deeper down the rabbit hole in search of a "perfect system". As the lines between left and right begin to blur, you realize there's no "perfect system" that can actually be achieved. At that point, you start questioning why there should be a "system" or any form of "authority" at all.

Whether we are right or left leaning i think moderation is the key, just like with everything else in life. That's where Democracy comes in handy like you said. Finding the balance between authority and freedom.
