China's New Yuan Loans Continued to Expand in December
China's new yuan loans expanded in December, exceeding market expectations, as the world's second largest economy remained on track to meet its growth target of around 5%. Chinese banks issued 910 billion yuan, equivalent to $130.5 billion, in new yuan loans in the final month of 2025, up sharply from 390 billion yuan in November, the People's Bank of China said on Thursday. The figure was higher than the 815 billion yuan forecast by economists surveyed by The Wall Street Journal.
