They will not risk facing the Ruler with the reality. It is obviously not constitutional but neither of the house nor the senate has objected yet. They also want to wait until the inflation kicks in due to the tariffs, allowing to blame the ruler then. Otherwise, the blame goes back to those, who actively opposed the tariffs. Because any reconstitution to the orginal tariffs will be an expensive excersize.
