South Africa: Consumer Price Index - November 2025
Annual consumer price inflation was 3,5% in November 2025, down from 3,6% in October 2025. The CPI decreased by 0,1% month-on-month in November 2025. The main contributors to the 3,5% annual inflation rate were housing and utilities (4,5% and contributing 1,1 percentage points) and food and non-alcoholic beverages (4,4% and contributing 0,8 of a percentage point) – see Table C and Table E. In November 2025, the annual inflation rate for: • goods was 2,9%, down from 3,1% in October 2025; and • services was 4,1%, up from 4,0% in October 2025 – see Table A.
