    President Donald Trump said Friday that Kevin Warsh has moved to the top of his list as the next Federal Reserve chair, according to the Wall Street Journal. Previously considered on Trump’s short list but not the favorite, Warsh, a former Fed governor himself, apparently ingratiated himself further following an interview Wednesday with the president. “Yes, I think he is,” Trump told the paper when asked if Warsh was at the top, according to an account posted Friday afternoon. Game theorists have found irrational behaviour interesting in that strategies may lead to optimal outcomes despite irrational choices. Very technical, including the words credible and incredible, which have specific meanings.

In more digestible terms, in general it is known as madman theory, which may be googled, popularised by Nixon. I copy and paste a very loose explanation as applicable to Trump, but many words have been devoted to the issue -

The concept of the madman theory suggests that the appearance of irrationality makes otherwise non-credible threats seem credible. Trump embodies this theory as the most predictable aspect about him is his unpredictability.

He is a pathological liar, but the most scary thing is that he lies on purpose aiming a far target in the future. He is spreading a lie (which he knows it's a lie) only to initiate discussions about something he wishes to happen in the future hoping that this lies will divide the society and the medias and ultimately leads to a favorable for him conclusion. Trump is extremely dangerous person.

Great way for Trump to increase betting market insider trading yields for his friends and family buying YES HASSETT / NO WARSH. Heck, they might have even bought YES WARSH at pennies, are are selling them off at 1500% ROI now.

Kevin Warsh seems more hawkish than the rest of the potential chairs. I have listened to an interview and he makes much more sense. He admits that the Fed is solely responsible for bad actions and putting blame on tariffs and the war is definitely not justified according to him. He is well aware of Volcker and the history of the Fed and their mistakes. Hopefully, this guy is the next Fed chair. I don't think he will care what Trump has to say. However, because of that it is unlikely he will be chosen by Trump.
