Cost Transfer: To maintain profit margins, these importing firms often increase the price of the imported goods when selling them to wholesalers, distributors, and finally, consumers. Economic studies consistently show that the cost burden of tariffs is largely borne by U.S. domestic firms and consumers.

Impact on Exporters: While not paying the tariff directly, foreign exporters are also affected. Their products become more expensive and less competitive in the U.S. market, which can lead to reduced sales. In some cases, to maintain market share, foreign exporters may choose to cut their own prices, absorbing some of the tariff's impact on their profit margins.

Unless I am mistaken, the sarcasm there was that the US taxpayer received essentially $0 in DOGE savings despite the $2Trillion promises and, therefore, will be receiving $0 in stimulus checks, again, despite the promises. And, yes, the inability to send these checks will 100% be blamed ok the opposition party.

Not a bad strategy really. Either A) the will go out and the Republicans can claim to be helping the taxpayer, thus securing votes or B) they don't go out and the Republicans can blame the democrats, thus securing votes. So everyone gets jerked around to keep folks in power. Politics suck.

Despite the fact that the likelihood, IMO, of any direct stimulus being given is slim to none, it is, ironically, the citizens doing most of the buying (and keeping the economy afloat...aka those making more than the stimulus threshold), who will NOT be given any stimulus. *Worst sentence structure ever....but you get my point*
