    The draft US peace plan already received by both Ukraine and Russia proposes to hand over those areas of Ukraine's industrial eastern Donbas region still under Ukrainian control to the de facto control of Vladimir Putin. It also calls for Kyiv to cut the size of its armed forces to 600,000 people. But what else is known about the text and who stands to benefit from it most? When you have a mad cow in a china shop, it's reasonable to assume the cow is the source of every visible problem. Any other view would be a deranged denial of obvious reality.

Donnie has his uses, status quo in the Whitehouse was and still mostly is, taking the US down a dead-end alley. He's not the change that's needed, pretty much the opposite, in fact. But any change at this point is probably a net benefit in the long run. Doesn't alter his mad cow status, though.
