Move over gold, Canada’s copper is having a moment
It may not be as shiny as gold, but it keeps the lights on. Without copper, there is no power in the modern world, and as the demand for power increases, so does the demand for copper. With new mines, revived projects, and rising global demand for the metal, Canada is well positioned to lift national output levels to what it was two decades ago, the CEO of the Mining Association of Canada, Pierre Gratton, told BNN Bloomberg. “I expect copper to be making a big comeback in the next few years,” said Gratton.
