China’s 3Q GDP slowdown less than feared amid external demand boost
China's GDP grew by 4.8% year-on-year in the third quarter, slowing for a second consecutive quarter from the 5.2% growth in the second quarter. Still, the economy managed to beat expectations for a steeper decline. Through the first three quarters of the year, China's economy has grown by 5.2% YoY. By industry, China's tertiary industry drove growth in 3Q25 with a 5.4% YoY growth, comfortably outpacing growth in the secondary (4.2%) and primary (4.0%) industries.
