German Inflation rate at +2.4% in September 2025
The inflation rate in Germany, measured as the year-on-year change in the consumer price index (CPI), stood at +2.4% in September 2025. In August 2025, the inflation rate stood at +2.2%, after +2.0% in both July and June 2025. "Following a period of decreasing inflation since the start of the year, an increase in the rate of inflation was registered for the second consecutive month," says Ruth Brand, President of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
