There was a lot of talk about the options for future PMs here, and as far as I know, this lady was the most dovish option for the yen. It was also unlikely that this would be the first time a woman would rule, so I assume the initial reaction would be against the yen.

Sanae Takaichi did not become the head of the Japanese government or Prime Minister. She ran for the leadership of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) but was not elected. In reality, Fumio Kishida was elected leader of the LDP in 2021 and then appointed Prime Minister of Japan. He is still in office today (October 2025). Therefore, the information in the image is incorrect or taken out of context (perhaps an assumption or rumor at the time).
