Jobs figures reveal Trump policies are going to wreck the US economy.

Right to criticize tardiness? Sure. But the FED works off data like the rest of the country. The president was touting an extremely strong labor force. The president was working off the same data. I'd have said the labor market was strong too....until it was revised so much lower. Is Bessent now going to say Trump was incorrect to brag about job creation and labor force resilience? OF COURSE NOT!

So, let's at least try to keep things balanced, shall we? Not that any of this (on FF) matters. The "public" gets it's news from the polarizing media: choose your favorite political affiliation and swallow whatever they spoon feed you. One would hope people could think objectively and not blindly follow, but I'm sure we all agree that would be asking too much.

Whatever the case, equities seem to be flat this weekend. Gold and crypto up a little. Nothing to shake up the world. Football (American football) season is kicking off (pun intended?) this weekend, so that will draw a lot of "weekend gambling" attention.

Let's just glide up in the markets through FOMC. If a rug is going to be pulled out from under the markets, I'm guessing it will be then, and in relation to an updated SEP.
