German production in June 2025: -1.9% on the previous month
Production in industry in real terms (price adjusted) was down 1.9% in June 2025 month on month after seasonal and calendar adjustment, according to provisional data provided by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). Production in industry therefore reached the lowest level since May 2020, when it decreased dramatically due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The less volatile three-month on three-month comparison showed that production in the 2nd quarter of 2025 declined by 1.0% and thus also dropped to the same low level it last reached in the first half of 2020.
