Some insight for you Mr Trump, we are not fans of America, and you are a big contribution to this.
Do you really think Australian's will buy U.S beef at the supermarket instead of our own?
We have more than enough of our own livestock to feed ourselves, and we buy off our own farmers first.
You personally, are making us and the rest of the world despise America.
A decade from now you will probably be dead from a heart attack or something else, but the damage you are creating will affect Americans for generations to come. And it all stems from the U.S not being able to pay their debt and you trying to get the rest of the world to pay it for you.

Forgediron - Thank you for a well written response that I can totally agree with. I PERSONALLY have never had Aussie beef; only Brazil, Japan and US.

Tastewise - the Japanese Wagyu - but too expensive for regular consumption - special events only.
Brazil meats - eating in the all you can eat in Texas de Brazil - acceptable

US meet that I mostly consume: Ground and sirloins and I'm happy with taste and quality.

I just had a peek of the monthly Feeder Cattle futures chart - since year 2000.

Price about $1.30 per pound in 2020, which except for a couple years prior in 2014 and 2015 it managed over 1.60 peaking at 2.30, about 1.20+/- was about it.

Since then, pretty much a continuous (with a contracting triangle a couple years ago) trajectory up to about $3.20-3.30 now. Smooth.

I see they are trading out to Aug '26. I reckon I'd hedge a bit if I were a cattle dude in the US given what I see of price action the last 25 years. I very much doubt that any possible Australian demand will have any bearing on price.

Lol as an Australian who has ties with the supermarket industry here, if the big supermarkets can get a good price for US beef, they will sell it. They will market it to consumers as hard as possible, and the consumers will buy it. You can say what you want about "Australian's won't buy US beef", but we will. There will be no debate on that. It'll probably be done through sneaky tactics, hiding exactly where it comes from and what's actually in it, just like everything else.
