How many numbers have been said to be set in stone only to be significantly reduced?

This is why I don’t understand people overreacting to every announcement. Tariff numbers go down with subsequent announcements and deadline dates get extended. No worries be happy.

I can't know for certain, but I think 35T's point is that there has been more than one.

For my part, I seem to recall the largest single-day move in the /nq ever around the time of the first "deadline move" (pause). So there was July 4~9 range due date (we can be a little flexible on the 90 day pause timeframe) which resulted in pushing the date again.

At this point, Trump's negotiation tactics are well-established (and known) by even us mere mortals. As such, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if 'this time' something more concrete were imposed, even if temporary. But I'm not going to get my "maybe this time" logic stand in the way of profits....so until something is locked in (or the last 3rd of July arrives), it's buy the dip!
