If we’re being pragmatic , ask “ what’s going to change in 2 weeks that we/they don’t already know ? Not much , unless it’s a total capitulation from Iran .

I hope the diplomatic channels are still open and functioning for a peaceful resolution . However , having said that and reviewed Israels agenda , I somehow doubt it .

The man does play the "keep everyone guessing" game.

Remember when there was news on Monday about a tariff pause.....markets shot up 6%. The white house refuted it after 90 minutes. Markets returned all gains. Only for the White House to actually implement it on Wednesday leading to the all time largest /nq gain.

So, here we have media saying "US to attack this weekend". Trump refutes it saying WSJ doesn't know my mind. Then let's loose the statement above (after the futures equity markets closed today, by the way...but oil was still open and gave up a couple %, but held TL support....gold didn't seem to notice/move).

Last I checked, this weekend is still "within" 2 weeks. As you indicate, there are puzzle pieces being moved into place. Israel no doubt continues it's campaign. Washington gets to stay out of it for a while longer.

It's going to be an interesting open at 5PM today (for those who had been trading during the US holiday, like myself).

Why wait for the Nimitz? it is a piece of rubbish - the nimitz had to RUN AWAY TWICE from the Houthis after nearly getting hit by missilies - get those aircraft carriers too close and they will get a sinking feeling

This means little no involvement from the US, which is what I have been predicting here for days. Oil crashed 2 dollars on this news. Those desperate for gold to go up, oh well, you are out of luck. Maybe the uneducated posters here who keep claiming we are entering ww3 will wake up and realize how wrong they have been. No one cares what Israel and Iran do to each other, they care about making money.

A few things;

Trump's ego wants to go down in history as a leader who made peace, not war (he fashions himself as one day being added to Mount Rushmore).

Just the idea of the US getting mired in another Middle Eastern war is causing a lot of dissent within the ranks of his America First/MAGA supporters.

Trump loves that everyone always is talking about him and wondering: "What is Trump thinking?", "What did Trump mean?", "What will Trump do next?". Yesterday Trump told reporters "Nobody know what I'm gonna do."

There is very, very little chance that Trump would authorize anything that might interrupt his buddy's UFC event taking place in Azerbaijan on Saturday.
