German production in April 2025: -1.4% compared to the previous month
According to preliminary data from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), real (price-adjusted) production in the manufacturing sector fell by 1.4% in April 2025 compared to March 2025, adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects. In a less volatile three-month comparison, production from February 2025 to April 2025 was 0.5% higher than in the previous three months. In March 2025, production increased by 2.3% compared to February 2025 (preliminary figure: +3.0%), following revisions to the preliminary results. Compared to April 2024, production in April 2025 was 1.8% lower, adjusted for calendar effects.
