German production in March 2025: +3.0% compared to the previous month

According to preliminary data from the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), real (price-adjusted) production in the manufacturing sector increased by 3.0% in March 2025 compared to February 2025, adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects. Even in the less volatile three-month comparison, production in the first quarter of 2025 was 1.4% higher than in the fourth quarter of 2024. This is the most significant increase in production in a three-month comparison since the beginning of 2022. The preliminary result for February 2025 was confirmed (-1.3% compared to January 2025).
