I am fairly sure that is because Trump has said this same thing a number of times: there is nothing Canada/Mexico can do about them....then they are changed. Auto tariffs are coming and nothing can stop it (then a 30-day pause). There is no stopping reciprocal tariffs, the 30-day pause.

There is OBVIOUSLY a red line (it could get so bad that he is faced with impeachment, etc), but he certainly can't ADMIT that while in a negotiation.

Of course, I am sure he'd like to see a certain level remain in place.

Then again, I haven't seen the article, and realize that all of these tweets can be taken out of context

TLDR: it's a low impact news event because the markets (equity anyway) did not seem to care at all when it was posted...so that is a justified rating (vs. those tweets/press releases that move the S&P 30 pts in 2 minutes during the overnight hours as the tape reading algos go wild in low volume trading)
