This is not good news, it basically means the phone call was pointless and solved nothing.

Something Biden did not understand is that Putin and his United Russia party are very open and friendly to the US when compared with the other Russia main parties, including the Communist and the Liberal parties.

If a person watched that video it becomes apparent that what Putin says is not anecdotal to that audience. It is new approach as some are making notes while Putin speaks.
Question must get raised why that might be so. Certainly not being staged, and if audience is writing notes then the whole premise of imminent invasion by Russia of Ukraine does not pass muster. For if invasion was imminent this would just be a confirmation of what military was already known. The speech would be a Pep rally and not new information.

If an interpretation is possible then speech by Putin is first time elevating Ukraine situation to the level he presents. This view deeply wounds the invasion imminent narrative.

We live in a world where political leadership would just as soon tell Lies rather the Truth if it furthered an agenda. So skepticism of what comes from anyone within government must be maintained and keep those Spidey senses fully engaged before taking anything at face value.
