{quote} Awesome....will test it out once market opens but it seems to be a great indicator for entry on the mean renko mate.....have u ever gave that a look? {image} {image}

Actually I don't use renko.

This was my reply to lKeithStone on a similar issue (check posts 268 to 278) :

The original idea behind LVCs was to use them as Profit Targets not Entry Points.
An LVC is a candle with Low Volume with RESPECTED OPEN PRICE (i.e. Its Open Price is not breached by a number of following candles).
For this, the more Future Bars you use the higher target you can achieve.

Using LVC as Entry points "can be valid" but :

  1. smaller number of future bars ---> more false entry signals
  2. higher number of future bars ---> late entry, higher risk of reversal.

Hi there, I've been beaten hard on DAX in the last 2 days. Even this last assumed runner was stopped at BE. {image} I've been so patient on profits, and most of them stopped at BE. It would have been much better if I took profits at 2:1 RR. Anyway, it was a good experiment for me. Looking at the trades taken, most of them were impatient bad entries, so I need to work on that. Once I reach something I will post it under trading systems. Have a nice day, Khalil

If you are getting B.E mostly then divide your position Lot. Instead of opening of one trade with full volume. Open two trades with equally divided Lot. Close half of your position on reaching B.E, Let the other run until TP without moving your SL to Entry Price. I hope this will reduce the B.E hits.
Forex; the game of movements not the game of candles.

Yeah that was a great call Timos! I was watching it come into your zone as you previously posted but I too somehow missed the entry.

More opportunities will come and Eur/Gbp is on the watch list. Reference: http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...99#post8938899

Eur/Gbp is close to our target zone now to look for shorts:

After running many tests I found out that the best option is to keep SL at the original place (swing high/low).
Partial profit can be taken by closing half position at 2:1 Reward-to-risk or more, hence if the SL was hit the trade will end at BE or in profit.

Risk and reward is the most important aspect to managing your money in the markets. The problem with Risk/Reward is that you can never know the Reward, only the Risk.
