You can pm me the strategy, if it will looks promising I can code it in an ea. If however will looks like time wasting, no coding. 99% of "promising" strategy are in truth time wasting projects, so I would not have big expectations if I were you. ...

I think people should understand the reason why indicators are soo "hated" from profitable trades, it is not because they are "confusing" or whatsoever, it is because they simply do not work (apart maybe the OBV that somehow can have some sense, but ...

Indicators are a retail phenomenon, even the bank forecasts are one of the many marketing tools targeting retail investors. Bank traders don't use indicators, they don't even use charts, all they use is the dom. Why is that, because what happened in ...

It depend on what happen next, if price continue going down then you will say "wow holding was such a good thing, it was full of sense." But if price now start going up and up and up, you will say "oh the market was so KIND to me, he went back all ...

I don't know what he was meaning with "entire market was moving in that direction and they'd just stare in awe". Let's assume that you trade using a prime broker or just a good institutional broker, so you have access to the real interbank, and ...

No, you are underestimating the whole thing. 1 Million (10 lots) don't have any impact at all on the eurusd, 100 lots (10 millions) too, don't really have any impact at all. Maybe at the end of NY session when liquidity is pretty small, by placing a ...

I think you made a big point here, even if accurately forecast the future of market movements is impossible, the momentum per se offer what can be the nearest thing to the predictability success, of course the idea would be to get in as momentum ...

Yeah, the thing of this thread is that it is possible to make profits from a market even if it is unpredictable. I'm not saying that because the market cannot be predicted with 100% accuracy then it's not possible to profit from it, i'm saying the ...

Cubby, Why don't you share the overall strategy that the EA use, like when and why it open buys and sells, etc. It would be interesting to know it, so we can understand more about the way the strategy work and can give some inputs, test it, etc. ...

Yes absolutely, also it's clear that my opinion and your and everybody's opinion is just an opinion, so what may be good for us may not be good for somebody else, etc. I see Cubbybgood have an overall 10years experience with forex, so he probably ...

I don't think your approach is good, here is why: As the above post say, the market is unpredictable, sure you can curvefit some "strategy" in a backtest to show positive returns, even on a 10year timescale, but it's still curvefitting. Chances are ...

Great post, i must admit that i don't feel good with myself if i say that the market is totally unpredictable, as you also said, overall it is a zero sum game, so what is bought eventually have to be sold. also, we do know that a big portion of ...
