If this has been raised before I apologise, but how can you tell if volume constitutes sells or buys. I use metatrader and I could guess both ways, eg price rising in a general downtrend, sellers offloading believeing will go lower or buyers coming ...

Forgive a fairly newbie question, but what has signalled the long view. I can see only a downward trend with very little to signal a change in direction till 615-610ish. I probably wont have the guts to do it but I would be thinking short somewhere ...
