What do people think about the 1hr bullish pin bar hitting a support area?
- bfd replied Jul 11, 2013
Hi, I had a question about this trade. When zooming out on the charts at the time the trade was made it looks like price was still in a downtrend since around June 17th and was still making lower highs and lower lows. In this context isn't it risky ...

Oh yeah, I guess its the number of days (or whatever time frame your on) that it takes an average from. So I guess it should be set to 1 then?

Just wondering were you expecting the PPZ to act as support for the pinbar? My take on this would be that it looks like the pinbar has worked in the sense that there has been an upward movement in price since the pinbar. However, it also looks like ...

So doesn't this mean that pin bars on the stock market charts are more reliable than ones showing up on forex charts, in the sense that everyone on a stock market chart will be seeing the same pinbar and so will trade accordingly?

Well that 1hr UsdChf pin was blown out of the water... I thought alot of people on this thread traded h1 setups? I know its important to still look at important daily/weekly levels though.

What do people think about the 1hr pinbar on UsdChf? It seems to be hitting a level of resistance.

Also, I guess its important for the nose to be touching a significant level rather than for example the body touching the level and the nose protruding a long way through it. If that was the case then the pin bar could be indicating a break through ...

No 4hr pinbar on net dania charts.

I can see that it was an important level and that price broke though, so it was likely that the level would turn to support and price would bounce off from the other side, but is it not too risky to trade without for example a pin bar touching the ...

Doesnt the fact that at the bottom of that swing low(just before the pin) there seems to be quite a strong support level mean that there is strong possibility that price will go up?

What do people think about the Daily pin from couple of days ago on AudUsd? After falling yesterday price has retraced quite a bit. On the one hour chart it looks like it might be forming the right shoulder of a head and shoulders pattern.

Hi what did you think of the daily pin bar on Aud Usd from yesterday? Not the best pin bar on my charts, but looks like its hitting an important level on the weekly charts. I was thinking of waiting for a retrace and then maybe enter.

I think thats the problem....to be successful it seems like you have to wait for the best setups which only come around rarely and if you only have a small account then you're only going to make a small amount of money on each trade. So if you end ...

So I guess its a good idea to trade in the most popular time frame then, so that more people are seeing the same setup? Can this be achieved by changing the time zone of the charting software, or would you just have to use different charts? Thanks.

When I tried to draw a similar ascending trendline (on the daily)beginning with the pin around the 26 Jan then hitting the next pin around 28 april and another around 19 May, when I zoomed in to the hourly charts it looked like price had broken ...
