I am not at all criticizing this idea what so ever but this is the gist of it. For simplicity you are hedged perfectly, you have paid the spread for both your trades and for holding it you are interest negative. So if you are hedged into a news ...

Of course I do not speak for FTI, but my impression was that he doesn't want his teaches to be contained in a document and thus bartered/sold. Besides this way of teaching is way more beneficial then a step by step guide, you get good trading ...

one thing you can take notice in terms of the 3 kingdoms stuff, is how each of them respond to big figure numbers/options strike prices. if you look at usd/jpy today from 7:40am-pst till my posting you'll see that it gets stuck below the 102.00 ...

My definition of round trip might be different, but a round trip in a single pair should just be an open and close of a trade and it should only cost the spread, not double. Since you are probably trading on oanda with that spread, opening a trade ...

wow leighsww thanks for the spreadsheet and trade history, it is very interesting to see how differently people are trading this concept and what returns/risks they have. I'll post later on over the weekend how I've been trading it so we can compare.

Ya mike, that is something i've observed as well. Whenever I watch a 'round trip' (3 pairs that cancel each other out, i.e. EUR/JPY, EUR/USD, USD/JPY), I notice that when a big move occurs two of the pairs will move in tandom or inversely while the ...

Since fti has given so much of his time, I have taken the time to read and give my interpretation on art of war as he requested. I have not read others responses yet so this is just what I've thought about as I read it. Laying Plans 10. These five ...

Peoples opinions of the charts depends on the user and the method the system they choose. Honestly I can't stand using any other charts except for oandas.

Anyone know what the format of the output of this WindowTimeOnDropped() function is? When I drag the script into the chart at for example 2007.05.04 14:00 the output of the function is 1178287200 which means absolutely nothing to me. Am I misusing ...

My friend and I noticed something odd about our vision. If it matters we use Oanda with candlesticks and the bid and ask lines on at the same time. If i have an oanda chart open on my left monitor and I'm focusing on the monitor in front of me I ...

If you mean the FXdesktop, then ya I'm using it now. I've considered trying to run a linux box just for oanda. It is unfortunate, oanda's platform is elegantly simple, but its flaws really hurts its effectiveness.

Oanda Platform Performance — Anyone here can give me some advice aside from buying new hardware on how to improve the performance of the Oanda platform. It only takes a few full screen oanda windows to bring the platform to its knees.

The chart I'm guessing has a fixed y-range so the spread can not be properly represented by the chart. I did watch the eur/usd make the 25pip spread but the chart maxes out at 15. The pound spread appears to have left the chart as well.
- Hidhadows replied Nov 5, 2006
Oanda's spread was 25 pips during the NFP.
