The initial H&S hit target quite quickly after that post. The larger one is debatable. I made a point of starting with "A trade idea to satisfy those with a much longer holding time" and "This could be considered more of an investment than a ...

In contrast, this one turned out quite well... url But of course, had it not worked, could have also been labelled a 'hindsight bottom'. Nothing wrong with expressing your opinion usdoutlaw so don't need to be afraid of jinxing yourself by ...

Well that's just the thing - the H&S was never confirmed, as this would have required a break below the blue neckline which didn't happen. And you do not know it is a bottom until after the event. As for trading it you either jump in before (as you ...

It reached my fib zone 2 weeks ago... Down from IMO herehttp://www.thinkforex.com/getattachment/bdaa7d84-e854-42e4-b736-8bbd591eba94/Newsroom_311.png.aspx; GDT was a nice boost before Wheeler said 'rates on hold for some time' (which is the new ...

Thanks for taking the time hayseed! TBH on the rare occasions I see textbook patterns they tend to fail. Trade well

You raise a valid point here and something I'd like to elaborate on. It comes down to analysis vs trading. I personally found that if you look at 'true' definitions of TA patterns you spend more time analysing than trading. Over the years I have ...

Which makes your English superior to 90% of English natives. Something for me to improve on and perhaps not be so eager to hit 'publish'. All good.

(On a side note, I wish these so-called "professional" analysts would at the very least proofread their copy before posting it or have a native English speaker do so....)[/quote] Fair comment - apart from the 'native' speaker bit...

It’s not a head and shoulders yet – hence the word ‘potential’. And who says the run is over? May be, maybe not. That's up to the market.

Large speculators have been closing their EUR short positions now for several weeks - however there has been little/no increase in longs from the same group. So overall, any upticks are just better prices to get short on W1 and D1 There is also an ...

It can still 'eye it up' without getting there! It has made a little effort to go down at least, and as you point out may not make it to 100. I cannot account for the individual groups of MM, Banks etc. defending their positions (as they all have ...

Current levels are good for a re-entry short IMO - meandering around the neckline. If OPEC cut that could be CAD bullish too, leaving ECB to put the final nail in the coffin and EURCAD resume the downtrend. That's my guestimate anyway

I've updated the analysis here... url Summary: To cut to the chase, With a break below 1.4012 confirming a Head and Shoulders Top the plan is to simply sell into any rallies. - In the event we do see a relief rally then 1.393, 1.40 (round number) ...

Typically yes - but can also be continuation patterns. So an Inverted H&S in an uptrend can also make a good bullish signal. That said, H&S are messy patterns at the best of times. Therefor I prefer not to trade the pattern itself but use them to ...

I wouldn't say upset - that would require some sort of ego on my part. I used the word banter, as that is what I took it to be. Convoluted was referring to your response, not your technique, as you could say it in fewer words. But on that note, what ...

Caution is always wise - especially when EUR is concerned. Out of all the FX pairs I analyse, EURUSD Is one stroppy and confusing mistress. But then we have 2 countries talking their currency down whilst both bicker amongst themselves. We can see ...

All good comments above - only thing I wanted to add was the increased Foreign Investment in Austrlia's AAA bonds also supports AUDUSD. But as pointed out, we can see that in price anyway!
