I didn't mean a traditional martingale strategy where you place trades all the time against the trend and don't open additional trades to the profitable side.

Adding a basket TP to the EA could improve the results quite a bit as it seems to be detecting the trend quite well. The winning trades should overcome the negative trades. A mild martingale could also be useful.
