One way of dealing with the drawdown is to put a high SL on the trades. 200 pips on lower volatiliy pairs EURUSD, USDCAD etc. 400 pips on JPY pairs and other high volatility pairs.

1.072 is making lots of trades in my demo account. 2% plus in one day so far. In the backtest it only loses - equity curve going down to zero - which I don't understand.

I run mt4 under Linux/wine. The prefix32 directory is 1.5 GB so I could upload it to Mega, if you are interested. Then you only need to install the newest wine and then run mt4.
